Good location. 10 minute walk to centre of Udaipur. Staff in restaurant very helpful and attentive. Breakfast choice seemed limited compared to other similarly graded hotels, however what was on offer was nice.
The deluxe room we hsd paid for was certainly less deluxe than other similarly priced hotels and less deluxe than some other rooms in the hotel. I suspect as we arrived very early and they quickly and kindly got us into a room it may not have been their best room. It was a bit tired.
Fantastic hotel with beautiful pool surrounded by grass and sunbeds. Stayed in room next to pool with patio and chairs outside, would highly reccomend rooms 17, 18 and 19 which are all like this. Udaipur is beautiful and the Mahendra Prakash provides an ideal base within walking distance to the Palace and Lake. Staff are helpful without being pushy and the owner is a real joy to speak to. Our fav hotel we stayed in during our month touring India. So nice next to the pool we didn't leave at all for one of our days staying there, just chilled, bliss!
The staff were excellent co operative , Rooms extremely clean , rates are also reasonable
Travel desk should be more active
This Is a great option in Udaipur for it's price, level of comfort and lcation
The taxi driver provided by the hotel in leaving.
It was an execellent hotel, I picked the suite, it was a very spacious room with wooden forniture, working and silent air-conditioning, extremely clean, the bathroom was very clean, and hot water. It was nice because there was no noise coming from outside. There is a fantastic litle garden around the perfect swimmingpool with 2 turtles. The restaurant was very good, and it was the only one hotel in my trip in India that had buffet breakfast.
Credit card connection didn't work, so I had to go to an atm to get the money, although an hotel steward brought me there with his motorbike.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value that is difficult to beat.
Excellent staff and good location. The staff goes out of the way to help you and guide you. They are not interested in commission like other tourist places. Location is also convenient and it is walking distance frm all major spots.
Our room was nice and big, decorated in traditional style. Breakfast is ok, it is even possible to order freshly brewed capuccino. Very pleasant green lawn, where it was very pleasant to have a cup of tea. Area is quited - there are no noisy streets around. We didn't use the pool, as it was rather cold, but it looked nice and clean. But the best thing about hotel is its staff - the most friendly and helpful that we met out of all 5 cities that we visited in India this time. We felt like a very welcome guest.
There were no such things.
Use of the pool; friendliness of the restaurant staff in particular; location
rather gushing welcome and too familiar; if-fy A/C; failure to restock tea supplies
Very cosy hotel, very nice rooms, helpful staff, excellent breakfast menu that you can have in the the most wonderful garden next to the swimming pool, perfectly located to walk into downtown (10min) but being far enough to be outside of tourist crowds.
Noise during night can be quite loud which is not the fault of the hotel but has an effect to your sleep. Staff should not begin to work in front of rooms next to inner courtyard at 7 am, this is much too early if you are on holidays
Confortable room, nice swimming pool in the garden, good breakfast. Waiters were very nice and service good.
The hotel and grounds were fine, the food was good, the staff are good.
I didn't like the emphasis so much on that we are all a 'family', it began to grate after a while and seemed a bit false. I didn't like that even though the room had been cleaned, it wasn't clean, and fixtures and fittings were often in poor condition - nor did I like that for the money paid it was overpriced. I stayed one night here and then moved to a different hotel, the Rajputana, which though more expensive still gave a better value for money and was more in keeping with a good standard of hotel, in effect better value. I don't mind paying more money but I want what I pay for.
Hotels looks better in pictures, but when you get there you feeel the price is toooo high for what they offer. Try to get a hotel with a lake view, it was my second option and I regret I did not choose it!
Price is too high for what you get - reserach more and you can find bettre hotels for the same price, or the same level for cheaper. Try to get a hotel with a lake view, this one is close to the lake but has no view at all
This is a old property and not very well maintained. Rooms are old. Staff is not very friendly and ready to help. The staff is always on the lookout for tips.
